Common cycling lands in Standard. Good?

Cycling lands are amazing, even for 2 mana.

Cycling lands are probably not going to see much play outside of standard, but, they are deserts so maybe is some synergy there.

Nothing super exciting yet. For something gimmicky I kind of like Oasis Ritualist and other mana dorks that tap for lots of mana, i.e. Ulvenwald Abomination, Kozilek's Channeler with Dramatic Reversal for some sort of really big spell...........but not sure if there is anything big enough in standard to justify such shenanigans.

Torment of Venom looks really good.

I like this spell. It's similar to Clear Shot, which I have really enjoyed using. The lack of a toughness boost is a shame, but it may still be good.

One sided green removal is always welcome.

Overall I think the set turned out pretty decent. Not a lot of amazing cards but so many things with cycling give most of the cards a good layer of depth that commons generally lack.

Playing a standard u/w zombie deck at the next local standard night for sure.
Green and g/x ramp decks should be somewhat viable too. Not sure if it will be enough to take on regular standard decks, but, I'm going to give them both a try.

My top picks for Standard Pauper are Oketra's Avenger, Firebrand Archer, and the cycling lands. Oketra's Avenger addresses the lack of quality 2-drops in white, which was WW's biggest weakness. Firebrand Archer is Thermo-Alchemists 5-8. Alchemist has already proven itself as one of the best cards in Standard Pauper, so having access to 8 of that effect is huge. The cycling land make mono-colored control/midrange decks more powerful and consistent.
